Frequently asked questions
What is DSCR?
Debt service coverage ratio compares a property’s rent with its monthly payment, including taxes and insurance. A DSCR of 1.0 means the rent covers the payment.
Can I use projected rent on a vacant property?
Often, yes. Many lenders use the appraiser’s market rent estimate when there is no lease in place.
